Prague is one of the most fascinating cities in Europe and boasts Czech culture all around. With amazing architecture from the Gothic to the Baroque period Prague embodies a rich history in the heart of Europe. Prague is the capital of Czech Republic and is a cosmopolitan and charming city that has strong links to the past. With beautiful sightseeing, amazing restaurants and a surprising nightlife Prague is the place to visit.

  • Prague Castle: built in 880 Prague castle is the biggest castle in the world. The castle has a collection of crown jewels and is an UNESCO World Heritage site. The castle is also famous by the historical public figures that lived there such as Franz Kafka. The beautiful architecture and the lovely walk around the castle are worth a visit.
  • Prague Zoo: founded in 1931 the Zoo is located in the district of Troja next to Prague. The zoo is very modern and has more than 600 different species of animals. There is also a beautiful botanic garden around the zoo.
  • St Vitus Cathedral: this breathtaking cathedral is a beautiful example of Gothic architecture and was built in 1060. St Vitus Cathedral is the biggest and the most important church in the Czech Republic. Under the cathedral there are graves of kings, saints and princesses. There is no entrance fee to visit the cathedral.
Airport Info

Receiving over eleven million passengers every year Prague airport is one of the busiest airports in Czech Republic. Opened in 1937 the airport has four terminals and over 70 airlines with world wide destinations.

Location
The airport is located around 10 km north of Prague city centre.

Facilities
The facilities include a different range of shops, duty-free stores, a post office as well as a perfumery. The airport also comprehends banks, bureau de change, ATM cash points and a post office. There are different types of restaurants, five bars and several cafes. There is also a conference centre and a tourist information desk.

To and from the airport

By Taxi
The journey from the airport takes around 30 minutes and depends on traffic; Taxis are available from outside terminal1.

By Bus
There are buses leaving every 25 minutes from the airport to the city centre.

By Train
There is no subway or train connection to the city; you can catch a bus or a taxi to the nearest station in the city centre called Dejvicka, from there you can take an underground line to your destination.
